Product Description

Fabulous example of barite and sphalerite together. From the Elmwood Mine in Carthage Tn. this specimen features beautiful white barite snowballs set in and throughout lustrous sphalerite crystals. The contrast is stunning. Photos do not convey the stark contrast of the metallic sphalerite among the white barite balls that you will see in person upon owning this spectacular specimen. There are a few areas in the sphalerite that exhibit glints of reddish orange highlights as well.
Shimmering dolomite crystals sparkle around the clusters and all of this sits on a dolomite plate. This piece is one of the most dramatic, gemmy, shimmering, examples I've had with this combination so far.
Weighs 3 lbs 4 oz
Measures as follows:
6" across sitting flat. 9" across over the top allowing for the 3 dimensional top measurement. (measured with a soft tape)
4" wide sitting flat. (widest area) 7.5" across the top measured with a soft tape
Would make an excellent addition to any gem, mineral, specimen, collection.
I have sold rocks for many years online so be assured this will be carefully packed for safe delivery. Please view all photos for best details.
