Rare Trifari Brooch
1940's Era
Beautiful piece signed Trifari with the crown over T mark, one used in the 1940's. Uncommon stones feature moonstone or blue opal rhinestone navettes, midnight blue carnival glass colored navettes, tiny, deep dark blue, marquise rhinestones, and capri blue round rhinestones. The blue/ black stones are fabulous in that they have the sheen of a raven's wing with a subtle iridescence giving them a unique reflective quality while reminding me of the midnight blue carnival glass seen in the antique glass from the 1930's / 40's. Stunning rhodium over gold plating gives this piece an elegant, light, bright gold, finish
