Gorgeous Czech necklace dating to the 1920's -30's era. Though unsigned it is obviously a Czechoslovakian piece with the distinct materials and design made by Czech artisans at that time. This necklace is constructed in a 3 panel design making a gorgeous collar. It is also constructed of two metals. The base of each panel is pot metal, the top applications are brass. These applications are very ornate featuring leaves and flowers layered on top of each other making a fabulous "garden" on each panel. Red rhinestones and free form art glass stones are set throughout and two, ribbed, givre glass, stones accent the top front flower. All gold plated, this necklace is a beauty to be sure! It is in very good vintage condition for its' age. The stones are present and beautiful. Some of the red, free form, amoeba shaped flat backs show a bit of foil loss on the back of them in areas. This does not effect the beauty of the necklace at all. The gold plating has worn off in areas on the back of the piece, the front plated antiqued finish is intact . The brass chain is especially nice with embossed links. It has a lovely patina on it now. All in all a spectacular necklace which will make a wonderful addition to any vintage jewelry collection, especially the deco era Czech one. Measures 16~1/2" long. Center panel measures 2~1/8" across x approx. 1~1/2" long. Side panels measure 2" in length.
