Charming Tancer II brown mink fur Christmas tree pin (designer name marked on back) This brooch is adorable! The bottom or trunk looks like it's wearing curled elf shoes on, I love love it, always makes me smile, lol! Curled outer branches are charming too! Beautifull gold plated finish.
This pin can be found in Mary Morrison's Christmas Jewelry book on page 73 and in Nancy Trowbridge's Christmas Tree Pins book on page 143. Year 2002 book value is $130-$150. Just a guide but nice to see.
Excellent vintage condition with the gold plating especially bright and intact.
Measures 2~1/2" tall x 1~1/2" wide at widest part at base of triangle/tree. An aurora borealis, faceted stone is set inside the star at the top.
