Adorable 1950's - 60's Lustre Celluloid Pearly Back Frog brooch
Features rope design metalwork which is seen over the plastic. It is made as one piece (including the head area) Though it looks like this metal piece is touching the celluloid actually is not is not. Very close however. This gold ropy piece also moves back and forth if you slide it over to either side. His eyes green glass cabochons which are beautiful...and seem to glow. Wonderful design, he looks to be ready to leap somewhere wet and pondish, lol!
In excellent vintage condition, light gold plated finish is intact and all components are fine. Super little piece for the animal/aquatic collection and great to wear with other critters. Perhaps on a jean jacket ? Measures 1 1/2" across by 2" long.
