Beautiful Victorian revival Czech portrait necklace.
Features a hand painted porcelain image of a lady, I am thinking one of the nobility
The outer outline is a transfer / decal on porcelain that has been completed by hand painting all the color you see there
Three stations make up the entire decorated center area
Signed Czech and likely a Max Neiger or Neiger Brothers piece
Distinct details that point to it being a Neiger necklace are as follows:
Ornate, dimensional, elaborate, brass metal frame
Delicate filigree bead caps along with very small solid brass bead caps shows attention to small details
Tiny bezel set black glass cabochons accenting the main stone, in this case the porcelain piece.
Larger black glass cabs on the two beautiful side components
Three rows of dangling drops
Signed / stamped Czechoslovakia
The porcelain pendant centerpiece measures 2~5/8" long which includes the longest center beaded drop.
Measures approx. 1~1/4" across at the widest point
Entire center design area measures 3~1/2" across
Measures 18~1/2 inches long with a rare, embossed, push in locking brass clasp
Beautiful vintage condition, Beautiful patina, no issues
