Authentic, rare, vintage Sergiev Posad 10 piece Russian Matryoshka doll depicting The Trinity Lavra of St. Sergius which is the most important Russian monastery and the spiritual centre of the Russian Orthodox Church. A beautiful set of wooden dolls, largest doll size measures approx. 10" tall. Beautiful vintage condition with only some of the hand painted letters on the bottom being a bit blurred. All tops and bases fit well, hand painted in gilt and pastels. Especially lovely is the turquoise blue color which does not show up well in the group photos so I added an enlarged photo of it.
