VINTAGE c.1953 SIGNED TRIFARI  COLLAR  NECKLACE AND EARRINGS CELESTIAL COLLECTION

HERRINGBONE CHAIN. PATENT PENDING

Features clear crystal baguette stones set rose gold "Tritanium" finish which shows a hard, bright finish.  Expert craftsmanship, beautifully designed and sculpted with 3 rows of rhinestones baguettes shooting down the side of a bow like, focal point center. Tiny rhinestones are set in this "bow" area adding brilliant twinkles of light, like a celestial shower. There was a patent of a very similar design taken out in 1953 for Trifari, by Alfred philippe. Almost identical, yet a bit different which here does not have the extra fold over baguette rhinestone row (s) at the top which curve over at the top of the bar as seen in the design patent. This does not seem to have anything missing so I'm thinking it is a variation of that patent.  This is signed with the crown Trifari mark as well as pat pend. The pat. pend mark is extremely blurry as it looks to have been double stamped.  The clip earrings which came with the necklace when I bought it do not seem to be an exact match. However, I'm selling them together as I purchased them. They would work well with any of the "celestial" style Trifari pieces from that time period.

Good vintage condition: all stones present, clean and bright; the gold plating shows a bit of faint dark spotting, mainly on the back of the piece, which is typically seen in Trifari jewelry with this finish.  It is in a lovely rose gold color. Light wear and faint scratches can be seen on the back as well. Herringbone chain is lovely.

Centerpiece measures 2~3/8" across x approx. 2" long. Neck length measures 16" total adjustable length. Clip earrings measure approx. 1" x 1" which flare up beautifully as they follow the curve of the ear. They are stamped with the crown Trifari mark as well as stamped Trifari, Design pat. pend. Please view all (enlarged) photos to evaluate condition and fine details.

I did put it on the necklace and seriously, it's beautiful!! It's a bit tight on me and would look fabulous on a slender (younger) neckline, lol!
