This lovely art deco set contains kabalistic and astrological attributions described in Aleister Crowley’s Book of Thoth. The art deco artwork of the Thoth is rich in Egyptian symbolism. To each of the twenty-two Major Trumps of the tarot is assigned, by tradition, a Hebrew letter and a path on the Tree of Life, as well as an astrological sign, element, or planet. The deck also reflects Crowley’s interest in alchemy and magic. The original Crowley Thoth Tarot has attracted a worldwide following, both for its striking beauty and for its complex depiction of occult knowledge.

This set is in good vintage condition but has minor wear consistent with age and use. There is no significant damage to the cards, but the box is somewhat worn. Please see photos.

Green border with design, astrological symbols and Hebrew letters on bottom of trumps. 78 cards with an additional blank card as well as the hexagram and OTO cards.

Cards measure 5.5" x 3.75" (9.5 cm x 14 cm)

"This edition is often referred to as the "green Thoth," due to the significant green tint to the card borders, and general "greenish" cast to the images. Later editions moved to a gray-ish border, and exhibit less of a "green shift" in the image reproduction."
