I had this sweet Edwardian necklace for a long time and loved the way the stones have darkened over many decades. This gives these vintage pieces such a beautiful look and feel. As I love shells, I am frequently looking at the ones I have, and noticed and this seashell had an almost identical "gray" shade which picked up the patina in the stones of the necklace. So, I have placed them together. I love natural items with jewels and metals and this looks so pretty together. The necklace has a lovely design to it, with old paste stones, round, and in a variety of sizes. It has one baguette in the center of the piece. As with all of these very old necklaces, it is a short length at not quite 14", however it is designed in a way that an extender chain may be designed and added to it.The centerpiece measures approx. 2" long x a bit under 2" wide. It has an Ellen Original tag on the back of the shell. A charming piece you will be sure to love.
