Product Description
Hard to find anymore, (was always a rare piece in my travels) this awesome Miriam Haskell brooch dates to the 1930's era. Features large bell flowers which are beautifully designed with embossed petals along the length of each flower. Dropping from the center of these blooms are clusters of brass and glass pearl beads. Another smaller bell shaped flower dangles below the topmost flower, this one a bit different in filigree metal, along with a smaller embossed center from which drops one glass pearl.
Elongated metal stems are "tied" together with a ribbon and large, beautifully detailed leaves make this a breathtaking showpiece The metal is brass which looks like it has the Russian gold plated finish that is seen on many of Miriam Haskell pieces.
An early, unsigned, brooch, it is an authentic Haskell pin with book verification included. Please view the photos I've added which were taken from the book "Miriam Haskell Jewelry" by Cathy Gordon and Sheila Pamfiloff showing same design and construction as seen here. One photo I have not pictured from the book shows the same back construction. It is pictured on page 71
MEASUREMENTS : Approx. 5~1/2" long x. 2" across.
It is in very good vintage condition for its age. Looks excellent, however it may have been soldered in 2 places on the long flower stems. See close up photos. This does not affect the beauty or wearability of the brooch, but noted.
Overall all an amazing, collectible, brooch, that will be a fabulous addition to the early Miriam Haskell jewelry collection
