This gemstone pendant was bought in an estate lot that had a few very rare stones/pendants as well as many more other gemstones. The items/stones/findings were from a person that did gemstone work around the 1970's. I had sold a small betionite that was set in 14k gold soon after I purchased the box but then misplaced the box for about 2 years. I just ran across the box again which had this pendant it it.
The stone is eye clean with just a few very faint inclusions.

This is a rare size stone so I did take photos of it under a short wave uv light
One of the best ways to verify the authenticity of benitoite is to see how it glows under SW and LW UV. The photos you see are taken with a SWUV, a definitive characteristic glow of benitoite. I don't have a LWUV
