Product Description

Super 3-dimensional 1950's enameled brooch, this is a huge, Daisy Flower Pin

Features a cluster of gorgeous, hand wired, art glass beads in the center. These include poured glass, chevron, and aurora borealis crystal beads, all in shades of green. In the very, very center of this cluster is a larger, round, soft green colored. bead, which looks like it has a very fine fluffy coating on it. I've rarely seen beads like it, just a few times in my 25+ years of selling and collecting. I'm sure there is a term for this but I sure don't know it, lol! The long, elegant, petals are coated with black enamel, maybe japanned, because they are not super glossy but show a softer, semi glossy, finish. There are 2 rows of them which gives this brooch stunning dimension and body, fabulous, just pops out at you! Every time I had it on, it was so striking everyone stopped and wanted to touch it.

This has been in my collection for over 20 years, but now I'm downsizing and if someone will love and wear it I would be happy.

The brooch from the front is in excellent vintage condition. The back has a unique, airbrushed look to it which is white with delicate black speckles all over. There is some wear to this coating, it has flaked off in places and the copper base metal shows under it.Nothing serious, this is mostly seen on the bottom row petals, very little on the top petals. Altogether a rare and striking pin, not your typical flower brooch, lol!

Measures approx. 3" in diameter, stands out (or up) 1~1/8" high
