Ormolu, also called ground gold, is a coating put on an object to imitate the look of gold. Historically, this refers to a coating on bronze or brass items that is only achieved by a dangerous process known as mercury gilding
This piece shows the gold ormolu coating beautifully. It's a very gold, rich, finish, quite different from other Czech / antique jewelry seen of this type
All stones/ pearls are glass

1920's / 30's Period Piece
Superb Victorian revival with Art Nouveau influence as well, this bracelet features an intense, rich, ormolu finish, giving it the look of real gold. The gardenesque, Art Nouveau style flowers and leaves design throughout is gorgeous. Tiny pearls surround that cab and flat back pearls and oval turquoise glass cabochons are placed throughout the rest of the pin
Please view the matching bracelet I have listed as well. The glass turquoise cabochon in it differs slightly but both pieces can be described as / worn as a set
very good - excellent vintage condition. Ormolu finish is intact, stunning!
