Gorgeous Rare REJA Brooch Pin
Lovely and rare designer signed REJA Art Deco brooch. Features spectacular paste glass stones in the most beautiful light yellow color. Eleven, open back, multi faceted, gem like stones are set on the end of each gold plated metal "stem". These stems are elegantly curved and showcase each stone perfectly as they seem to perch on top of them. Thes stems gently flare out from a center "vein" which is set with tiny, clear, pave set rhinestones. Simply a classic, elegant, design.
The brooch measures 3~3/4" x approx. 1" wide. It's in beautiful vintage condition with minimal wear indicative to the age of the piece. Mainly noted is that there is fading to the gold finish which is seen mainly on the back of the piece. The gold finish on the front is more intact which is due to there being much less surface area to to lose from. The pave stones (also paste) are clear and sparkly with slight darkening on a few. Nothing that detracts from the beauty of the brooch as a whole.
The main thing is that the yellow stones are excellent with no damage at all. Looking closely you see each vary ever so slightly as they are hand cut and faceted. Their colors also are not exactly the same, some are a bit lighter, not perfectly uniform in color but too close to really notice when viewing it normally. A fabulous, rare piece indeed!. Will be a wonderful piece for the advanced collector of vintage jewelry
