Metaphysical Properties:
Also called Skeletal or Alligator , Elestial formations are most often seen in Smoky or Clear Quartz. However, this is also seen in calcites as is shown in this crystal specimen
The name relates to the shape or form of the crystal which is made up of a multitude of pyramidal/triangular terminations which can look like stair steps layered on top of each other. Elestials can also have unusual etchings, cavities, or geometric like patterns and sometimes ‘enhydro’ bubbles of water in hollow areas, thus the name “skeletal”. Elestials are powerful crystals which are being used to aid in the mass cleansing, healing and reawakening that is currently happening. They are also known for their ability to assist in the release of fears and to bring comfort to those during a process of passing on.
From the the Elmwood Tennessee mine this is a specimen featuring 2 big golden calcite crystals with the unique Elestial formations. These perch on a sphalerite base which is covered in clusters of small to very tiny light pale yellow calcite crystals. Show as more white in the photos but they are actually light yellow. This gives it an icy look, brilliant and extremely beautiful. I took a lot of photos which do not capture the actual beauty and brilliance how these sleety calcites sparkle in this piece but it's the best I can do. One of the photos picks up a small area of fluorite crystals.
This specimen shows really well, it is quite artistically arranged and there is no need for a stand. It sits on a bottom layer of dolomite which is nice and flat and it shows beautifully from all angles. The larger calcite has a flat contact area where the specimen was removed from the matrix, quite normal, not damaged. The points are excellent with no chips or nicks, the straight edges are clean and sharp. Calcite colors are beautiful, medium golden shade with wonderful character due to the Elestial formations.
Measures approx. 8" x 5" and stands approx. 4 - 4~1/2" high. The larger calcite measures measures approx. 4" x 3". The smaller calcite measures 2~3/8" x 2". Weighs 3 lbs. 6 oz.
Altogether a beautiful piece for either metaphysical use or as a collector's specimen
