Product Description
Louis Rousselet poured glass beads bar pin. Since the beads have holes in them I am not 100% positive this is a Louis Rousselet piece, but... maybe...95% sure, lol
So other than that:
The glass beads are closely wired next to each other making a long beautiful grape cluster design. They connect and drop from a linked chain. There is a large brass bead at the top of the cluster which connects to the slender, elegant, brass bar pin. Though this bar pin is elegant, it is substantially designed giving a strong support for the weight of the glass beads dropping from it.
Condition:
Very good to excellent vintage. The wires on the glass beads show a very dark patina on hem now. To some this may considered too dark, but to others it is very desirable so therefore the excellent vintage rating, lol. The wires have gentle "twist" design , you have to look close to see this due to the patina. There is no verdigris or rust on the wire, it's just dark. The glass beads are beautiful, no damage on any of them. They are crackled intentionally. They look as if they are all present but possibly there are a few gone. However, with so many beads it doesn't look like any are missing. And lastly, the pin back functions properly.
Measures approx. 2~3/4" long.
The cluster alone measures 2~1/4" long.
The bar pin measures 1~5/8" across.
