keep checking back, new designs in the making!
Haven't designed a massive gemstone necklace lately so it's about time, lol~ Even though it's freezing outside had to take the necklace out for photos. This necklace is in vintage and antique jewelry only because the extender chain is vintage, dating to the 1960's era. It is a beautiful chain with large enough links to support the weight of these beautiful agate slab stones. The links are also embossed, very classy, plated in a rich gold finish. The stones are an incredible color with a TITANIUM COPPER Flash plated finish. They are a fantastic iridescent coppery orange shade with shimmering flecks in some as well as druzy formations. But the best part is the spectacular, rare, CHALCOPYRITE CRYSTAL SPECIMEN that I added to the huge center stone. It is NOT the peacock ore you see here in the rocks and fossils category, this piece has 3 D Chalcopyrite crystals in the most gorgeous Reddish plum purple color, intensely beautiful and iridescent. Photos do not do it justice. So, to accent the colors in the peacock ore stone I added faceted AB coated carnival midnight purple crystal beads and goldstone beads in graduating sizes at the back of the necklace as well as a few AB's to the design at the center. Please look at the photos for best description. This necklace is heavy but comfortable to wear for those who are used to wearing the big gemstone necklaces. It measures 18" long with a 4" extender chain for a 22" total adjustable length. The center stone with the peacock ore on it measures 2~1/2" long x 2" across. The slab cut stones graduate down in size from there. The stones surrounding the main stone can be re-arranged somewhat depending on the length you wear it, very cool. Weighs 10.8 oz. and comes with my Ellen Original copper hang tag.
