Product Description
TRIFARI Vintage 1951 Poured Glass Necklace 'Dogwood'
White milk glass Dogwood necklace designed by Alfred Philippe for Trifari. Patent date 1951.
Dogwood necklace is hallmarked Trifari on the back of the fold over clasp. Constructed in gold plated metal and features a large, white, poured glass flower and petals edged with with gold plated accents. According to information I found there was an ad showing it is from the Trifari Fashion Blossoms Garden of Jewels Collection. There are variations of this necklace, this one features the center flower with 3 flower petals dropping and dangling from the bottom of the bloom. There are four poured glass leaves attached to a bhat link chain which are graduated in size ending with a poured glass petal.
The necklace measures approximately 14".
The center flower drops down approx. 2~6/8" which includes the dangling petals.
The main design neck area measures 4.5" across.
Condition is excellent vintage as the glass has no condition flaws to note.
The metal has a patina on the neck chain and plated finish looks good, maybe a bit less bright but this will improve with a gentle polish
