Product Description
Very cool unique vintage brooch features an oriental figure which I have tagged as Buddha, but it could be another entity in the Asian world of which I do not not recognize.
Looks to be from the 1950's era, resembles Hobe' Jewelry with that gorgeous jeweled headpiece which is 3 dimensional with the top rhinestone portion raised up a bit. Open work wired metal construction seen on the back as well as on the front bottom of the piece is also a Hobe' construction element. The person, monk, Buddha, is all enameled and well done at that. Simply a mystery brooch to me but I'm sure some would recognize the placement of the hands as to what is going on .
Antique gold plated metal has a deep rich color with some wear to the finish seen here and there. Does not detract from the brooch, gives it more antique look and feel.
All stones are present and all enamel is beautiful and intact.
Measures 2" long x 1~6/8" across at the widest area.
