RARE, DEEPLY CARVED, ART DECO, CHERRY RED, BAKELITE BROOCH
CENTER IS ACCENTED WITH RHINESTONES
1920'S-30's ERA
FABULOUS INTENSE COLOR, BEAUTIFULLY CARVED
Thick, chunky, in that vibrant cherry red color! Silver plated metal center is actually one piece which connects the 2 large round pieces together. It is completely covered with 3 rows of pave set, clear, rhinestones and "wraps" all the way around and through the 2 openings. It also has the pinback mechanism soldered to it. Has an old C clasp closure. Everything is securely riveted to the bakelite on the back. Superior construction and design makes this a striking, unique, pin.
It is signed with what looks to me as AMCA. Please see the close up of this, may be different letters but that's what it looks like to me. Also has a hallmark on the opposite side which is an arrow shooting through an open, rectangular design.
Couldn't find any info researching the marks but if anyone knows please send me a message and I'll add it to the listing
Excellent vintage condition with no visible scratches in the bakelite which is glossy and bright. Nothing more than typical light wear indicative to age which you would need to look under magnification to see.
Bakelite circles measure 2" round in diameter
Measures 4" across x 2" long x 1/4" Thick
Obviously bakelite but still tested with Simichrome
Definitely Bakelite
