Gorgeous antique micro mosaic photo frame featuring a religious picture of Mary holding baby Jesus. The mosaic work seen on this frame is quite lovely and very intricate. Round circles show beautiful flowers in them, half moons show designs in them. Tiny tiles fill in between all of this which feature various geometric mosaic designs. All set in a horseshoe shaped brass surround with brass backing and stand. C-1900-1920. This frame and picture are in very good antique condition. Noted are : 4 tiny tiles are missing on one side at the outer edge and one more is missing in the next inside row, 5 altogether. There is a flake on the inside side of the oval glass, top right edge. Not noticeable unless looking for it. I only spotted it because I took the glass and picture out to examine them. Regardless of this, the frame and picture are beautiful. Measures 3-1/4" high by 2-3/4" across. Opening for photo measures 1-5/8" by 1 3/8". Please see photos for details and best description.
