ART NOUVEAU Bronze Letter Opener FINE SILK TASSEL TASSELS~Florida Souvenir
This is a lovely art nouveau- art deco era letter opener souvenir from Florida, circa 1920. Features elegantly designed palm trees and fronds. The word "Florida" is on the handle. The back is stamped BRONZE, with some other hallmarks. A silk tassel is attached to a small opening at the end of the opener. This tassel very delicate with 3 tasseled ends and an extremely fine knot.
It is in good vintage condition showing wear appropriate to its' age. Some of the fine silk strands have come away but it is still lovely. The bronze has a nice patina on it now.
Measures 5~1/4" long, the tassel measures approx. 6" in length
