ENAMEL OVER SILVER PLATED METAL
EXOTIC BLOOMS ON TALL STALKS
UNSIGNED CORO
ALL ORIGINAL, NO RESTORATION ON THIS PIECE
Although unsigned, I am attributing this brooch to Coro. Dating to the 1930s era, this pin shows the distinct construction, design and size of Coro pieces from that period. I have sold similar ones in the past as well
Design elements: large, impressive, size. Construction elements: Enameled metal, unique stones and rhinestones. Features faceted yellow colored, oval stones, in floral spikes with cupped receptacles which are beautifully enameled. Very 3 dimensional, the flowers are set in front of long, enameled leaves. Seen at the base of the flower stems is another cup shaped bloom which showcases an emerald cut, pale green, faceted ,glass, stone. Though difficult to see in the photos, the metal surrounding this stone is enameled in the palest green color. All in all this is a breathtaking pin and will be an exceptional addition to any vintage jewelry collection. A classic to be sure!
Measures 4" long x 2~3/4" across
This piece is in very good vintage condition. The yellow stones are brilliant and the enamel is completely intact but for one tiny spot at the top of one of the leaves. The 4 tiny rhinestones in the piece have lost a bit of sparkle but nothing that detracts from the beauty of this brooch. Normal issues for an enamel piece this old. Though the photos do not do this magnificent brooch justice, please view all of them for best description
