Please check in often, though this is an extremely rare item and there is not another like it, I am always on the hunt to locate similar pieces
Spectacular ornate Czech Egyptian belt dating to the 1900's-1920's era. This one is a revival piece which is big, wide and truly incredible. I have seen a lot of Czech pieces and jewelry in my day but this is something I have never seen the likes of before. I have owned it for at least 13 years and because the closure did not hold securely I thought of making it into a jewelry piece. But it is so amazingly beautiful I decided to finally list it hoping someone small enough to fit it would take the time to have the clasp/ closure worked on to make it buckle properly. The belt is made with 23 incredibly ornate and beautiful brass metal panels that each feature fabulous open work metal with Egyptian symbols on them. Included are: a pharaoh sitting on a throne, a scarab, a woman playing a harp, a man with a bird headdress holding a staff, and another woman walking and carrying a staff. The front closure piece has the pharaoh on it though much larger than the ones on the panels. Every panel also has 4 turquoise glass cabochons which are held in with tiny dog tooth prongs. The front closure panes has 6 cabochons Measures as follows: 29" long. Each panel except for the larger front one measures 1~3/16" across x 1~1/2" long. The main front closure panel measures approx. 2" across x 3" long. I took a lot of photos so please look them over. They show the wonderful detail involved in every aspect of this belt. If you have questions of course you can just email me.
