Red mark Chinese famille rose porcelain bowl; also red mark "made in Macau". Had an interesting time researching the mark. "Mark: Da Qing Qianlong Nian Zhi meaning: "Great Qing Dynasty, Qianlong Period, Made". On the base a paper label, Chinese porcelain decorated in Macau. Date: probably c. 1970."
Does not have the paper label but I believe it had been taken off at some point along the way
Features an exotic bird which is a bit ferocious looking but quite wonderful (in my opinion) Great movement is depicted as the bird is running with wings outstretched and tail feathers swaying. A large tree is over him and there are flowers and other birds throughout the bowl, inside and out. A very colorful and complicated design, please view all photos for best details
Measures 5~1/4" across
Stands 2~7/8" high
Good condition, no damage, just some faint smudges which are fired on and were done in the painting of the piece originally. The artist must have had some paint on his/ her fingers /brush where it got onto an area on the outside of the bowl and not noticed before firing. How do I know? I'm a porcelain artist, lol
