Fabulous & large this flower pin dates to the 1930's era. It features a distinct stylized art deco flower design which was so popular and made in various forms by the jewelers and companies at that time. This one looks like a design by Alfred Philippe for Trifiari, but also much like Katz or Verrichio for Coro. This also could be attributed to Mazer or Reinad. But since it has a small x stamped on the back of it I also think it's probable that this is an Eisenberg Orignal brooch and the x is the stone setters mark. Irregardless of who marked it with the x this is a beautifully made high quality brooch and an important vintage piece. It's big yet very elegant, with a 3 dimensional and exceptional detailed design, pave set paste stones and gold plated metal. The flower head is spectacular with finely detailed and layered construction. And tucked deep into the very center of the blossom is a gorgeous, very clear, extreme faceted crystal stone. It's very clear and looks like a white topaz. This wonderful pin is in very good-excellent vintage condition. The paste stones sparkle beautifully with only very few showing any issues such as slight darkening or fading. When you look at this pin without any magnification the stones show a clear brilliance. The gold plated finish is also in excellent vintage condition with just the tiniest of wear on an outer tip at the back of the piece. Measuring 3~5/8" long x 2~1/8" across this pin looks stunning on and is sure to be a favorite in any art deco-retro era jewelry collection. I have another paste brooch listed which came from the same estate and has the same x mark on the back. If you like this pin take a look at that one also, it's exquisite...
