Though the brooch looks like a duette, it's actually one pin which does come apart like a duette but with no clip mechanisms on the backs of the rhinestone clips it can only be used as a single brooch. Interesting.... Maybe was originally intended for a duette, but the designer changed it.
Stones are all original and and sparkle beautifully.
A few have darkened but this does not affect the brilliance of the piece
A small spot on the back looks like someone cut into the metal a bit, probably to test it for silver content
