Gorgeous 1930's Art Deco Czech Pendant
Striking Ornate Necklace
Though unsigned it is definitely a Czechoslovakian piece with the distinct materials and design made by Czech artisans at that time.
This piece features a huge purple glass stone which measures 1~1/2" long x 1~1/8" across (approx. 36mm x 27mm)
It is diamond shaped and triple beveled all along the outer edge, set in a gold plated brass gallery which is ornate and further enhanced with glass pearls and purple rhinestones. It drops from a gold plated brass chain. Both Art Deco and Victorian design influences are seen in this gorgeous pendant
This piece is in excellent vintage condition for the period. Only one tiny spot on one glass pearl where the coating has come off is noted. Very minor and not anything that affects the beauty of the necklace. The purple stone is exquisite, no scratches, nicks, or chips. Altogether a necklace that looks fabulous on as well as being a desirable addition to any vintage jewelry collection.
Pendant (with bale) measures 2~3/4" long x 1~3/4" across.
Neck chain measures 18" long
