SPECTACULAR RED VINTAGE WEDDING CAKE BEADS NECKLACE
Love it, love it, check out this gorgeous vintage Italian art glass wedding cake beaded necklace! The beads are fabulous, with red colors that make this piece especially desirable. Red with older, more detailed, enamel work, which includes roses, raised dots and gold swirls in shimmering gold aventurine. Adding even more interest and beauty to the necklace are the fabulous gold (plated) swirled, ribbed, metal beads. They are used as spacer beads in between the red beads, and more elongated ones (with smaller round ones in between) are added at the ends of the necklace giving this piece a nice long length. This necklace is truly impressive with the enamel accents, beautifully applied gold aventurine, stunning gold ribbed beads, and extra long length.
The necklace has been re-strung for safety in wearing. Beads and clasp are original and were all there (as seen) when I purchased it.
Very good - excellent vintage condition, no issues to point out. The necklace measures 31" long. Wedding cake beads measure approx. 14.3-15.2 mm round as they are hand made and vary slightly from bead to bead. The longest gold ribbed beads at the ends measure approx.14mm long x 5.9" All metal is gold plated .
