HUGE ART DECO ERA ENAMELED FLOWER BROOCH

PROFESSIONALLY RESTORED

Gorgeous vintage enameled pin dating to the 1930's era. This brooch has been totally restored as it had survived a house fire which was a total loss. My house! This was way back in 2002, the firemen flung a lot of stuff out my patio doors and for months I dug out pieces of jewelry from my yard and saved what I thought I would restore and have repaired. So, later on I restored this pin and it is really beautiful! I am a professional porcelain artist, my work was featured in art galleries in the southwest and published in porcelain magazines as well as other publications. I also taught seminars around the country and sold a lot of pieces until vintage jewelry and designing jewelry captured my interest. This bit of history is just for my buyers to be confident that the piece is professionally restored. For many years I bought the early enameled pieces including ones which had lost most or all enamel as I wanted to restore them. Much easier than China painting to be sure, lol! I had sold most of them over the past 10 years, especially the ones I repainted. So here is one I kept for a long time, decided to offer it for sale.

This is a total restoration in that all rhinestones, except for the one red stone, have been replaced. If you are hesitant about buying restored vintage jewelry please read my guide on the subject. Anyway, this is a huge flower pin, painted in blended shades of orange and yellow with large green leaves using blended colors there as well. Clear rhinestones along the edge of the leaves and in the center of the flower add just the right amount of sparkle and a red stone is set at the stem along the bottom. It is made of pot metal, the back has been gold plated which I did not retouch at all. It shows some gold loss to the finish there but nothing serious and nothing that detracts from the beauty of the piece overall. It is now a lovely brooch, ready to wear and enjoy for years to come. Measures 3~5/8" long x 2~5/8" across.
