This small vintage sterling silver star brooch is exceptional in quality and design. Dating to the 1940's-50's it features a double layer of shooting points which are decorated with tiny brilliant rhinestones and even tinier mica glass flakes. These seem to be under a thin coat of a clear epoxy or enamel type of material. Very much like older French jewelry. Topped with a clear paste stone/rhinestone. Not marked as to silver content but acid tested as sterling silver.
Intricate construction, the back is beautiful as well.
In excellent vintage conditin. Silver has a patina on it but I would leave it as it is, just beautiful!
Measures approx. 1~1/2" x 1~1/2"
