So pretty, this charming brooch is signed Limoges, Made in France. A mini porcelain plate pin, it features lovely flowers in Dresden style painting with white, raised enamel, accents. These flowers seem to dance in bright colors of purple, yellow, blue, red, and orange, just looking at them makes me smile. 24 karat gold has been fired on along the entire rim of the brooch. I am very familiar with this as I am a professional porcelain artist so I know what's involved and how it's done. Don't paint porcelain any more but sure loved it! Has a Victorian brass "trombone" pin back and the "plate" is set gently in a brass metal "plate holder" setting. So unique! This would make lovely gift for the lady who has a love for flowers and romance and especially nice as a Mother's Day gift.
