1930's ENAMELED WISHING WELL PIN
MOVABLE GLASS ROOSTER ON TOP
ENAMELED WITH TINY, CLEAR, RHINESTONES THROUGHOUT
tiny, marquise cut, flat back, cabochons, at the bottom
Charming, scratched in message on the back to a sweetheart
Reads: Jan. 30, 1939
Had to use a loupe to see the date good,
even so, the message on the bottom was unreadable though initials are there
I'm sure it is a love note as I bought 3 of these out of a collection,
all of which have sweet messages on the back of them
Check out the whimsical windmill pin I have listed also
Very good vintage condition for this type of jewelry
all stones are present and enamel is mostly intact.
Tiny rhinestones sparkle nicely and have kept most of their clarity.
The small marquise stones at the bottom of the piece are excellent but for a tiny dark spot in each red one.
Not visible unless looking very closely or with a loupe.
The glass rooster has lost much of the foil backing so it shows some spotting on the front view.
Approx. 1~7/8" long x 1" across
