Fabulous Signed Donald Stannard Runway Couture Necklace
Rare jewelry design, I can't find this exact piece or any information anywhere about it
Features the twin lions but with just the head and shoulders, not full body design. They face each other and have wings. Dropping from them is a silver toned (or plated) station which seems to be a symbol of some kind. Hanging from that is a large, very 3 dimensional drop. This drop pops out at you, it's a striking piece in a butterscotch cream color, The center of it features a gold ring with a cobalt blue cabochon set in the center of it. This is set in a wide, gold setting which is embossed with a flowing leaves design. The neck chain picks up the colors of the drop and is is made up of plastic beads, two of which are long, cylinder shaped, butterscotch beads which at first I thought were bakelite. However they did not test as such. Sure look like it...Gold plated embossed rings are spacer beads which are rich in color; they are strung in between large, round, cobalt blue plastic beads. The remainder of the neck chain is made up of slightly smaller cobalt blue beads which are hand knotted with cobalt blue silk
This necklace is in very good - excellent vintage condition
