Beautiful 1920s or very early 1930s hinged bangle bracelet. It has a fabulous look due to the patina on the silver plated white metal it is constructed with. This is a metal I see only in these older pieces, not pot metal, very hard. The design on the metal has an embossed diamond pattern in where the stones are set into. Still has the original safety chain and features a locking slide in clasp which works properly.
The paste stones have darkened beautifully, they are pretty much uniform in color. Their shade now gives them a look of very old, mine cut, diamonds. They shimmer / sparkle softly but very noticeably. It's difficult to capture that in the photos...They are set in diagonal rows of 3, all the way around the bracelet.
This is a lovely, rare, timeless piece which is as beautiful to wear now as it was so many years ago.
As with almost every very old bracelet it fits a small wrist, one that is approx. 6 - 6~1/2" in size
Must also have a small hand to fit through the opening when unclasped
Inside opening measures 2~1/8" x 2~1/4"
Measures approx. 1/4" wide
