Product Description

Lovely antique 14 karat rose gold, enamel, and pearl pendant/brooch combination dating to the late 1800s or early 1900s era. The pin is designed in the form of a flower with  black enamel petals on solid 14K rose gold  and natural pearl center. Piece is unmarked but tests strong for 14K gold. Beautiful rose gold metal makes this especially nice. Features a hook/open bail so it may be worn as a pin or a pendant.

The pin is in great condition.  The enamel is excellent with NO damage whatsoever. Almost a purple black color with a beautiful semi gloss finish.  The clasp has been damaged at some point in the past and someone had a replacement clasp soldered on. This is an older clasp with a center locking closure so I'm thinking this was done in the 1920's or 30's. I have added close up photos of it. Would be nice if it was gold in color, maybe the new owner could have it gilded or somehow gold colored. But it functions properly actually the whole pinback has been replaced as well due to it not having the typical lever back hinge and wide C clasp where it would have been stamped 14K. But it's been beautifully done, as stated above, having been acid tested. Definitely 14k gold. All of it, even the pin back itself. Only the soldered on clasp mechanism is not gold. pretty obvious, lol!

Excellent example of  late Victorian jewelry.

Weighs 4 grams, measures approx. 1" across x approx. 1/2" from the top of the bail down
