This is just gorgeous
1950's - 60's necklace pendant features an enormous, midnight blue, iridescent, carnival glass type cabochon. Set around this cab and accenting it are prong set rhinestones in colors of deep blue and green. These are round and marquise shaped stones, the round ones are in several sizes.
A tassel like drop dangles from the bottom of the piece which is actually seven separate rows altogether, 4 of which are chain drops, and 3 are rhinestone rows. The rhinestones rows have blue aurora borealis crystal beads at the bottom, the chains have alternating green and blue rhinestones set at the bottom. These are graduated in length adding another design element to the pendant.
A filigree metal adornment is set at the top of the pendant
All metal has a beautiful antique silver plated finish.
This necklace has Juliana jewelry elements but also Regency jewelry elements.
I'm thinking it is a Regency piece made by Juliana.
Many Regency pieces were unsigned. Many of them have this dark antiqued silver metal. They also have the beautiful stones as this piece does, some open back and some closed back. The main Cabochon is open back. Typical Regency metal color, also the detail in metal design such as this braided "twist" seen in the setting. The neck chain is also very elegant with its' unique, more narrow, box link, style.
This is just too high quality of a necklace to not be a designer piece. This is my opinion, I've seen hundreds of Regency and Juliana pieces to come to this conclusion
PERFECT FOR MORE FORMAL EVENTS BUT I WOULD LOVE TO WEAR IT WITH A BLACK TOP (CAMI OR LONG TEE FOR WINTER) AND COOL JEANS! MAYBE ADD A SLEEK JACKET OR SHAWL!
Necklace is in excellent vintage condition.
The main stone is spectacular with a mirror like reflection and incredible iridescence. Photos do not do this justice as I had to stand away and to the side to not be reflected so much in the glass!

The total length of the pendant including the dangles measures 4~5/8"
The neck chain / length measures 20~1/2", and it has a narrow, elegant, fold over clasp
