Product Description

 1930's era.
One of the desirable and rare early unsigned pins
this one features yellow, faceted, glass stones set in flower petal
shaped metal components which are hand wired
onto a pierced Celluloid back. Coated plastic string is also
included making a unique backdrop for the flowers.

These distinct components are shown in my "Miriam Haskell Jewelry"book
and because plastic coated string is a rare component in Haskell jewelry
I've included a photo from the book showing that it was used in her earlier pieces.

These pins are so unique and this one is no exception.
The glass stones are brilliant and are an unusual color.
They are highly faceted with more cuts than normal
and are more of a yellow tangerine shade.
Looks like they are lit up inside, especially at the edges.

This brooch in very good - excellent vintage condition. The coated string has two
tiny spots on the top area and two tiny spots
at a dangling flower where the plastic coating has come off.
 Hardly noticeable.
 Amazing condition considering the fragility
of the coated string as well as the age of the piece.
A perfect pin for autumn, but nice anytime of the year.

Measures 3~1/2" long x approx. 3" across.
