 Rare Coro Jewelry Duette Brooch

1930's ENAMELED CORO DUETTE BROOCH DEEP GARNET RED RHINESTONE FLOWERS
Documented Book Piece
GORGEOUS!
Signed Coro Duette red double flower brooch dating to the 1930's era. This piece is another wonderful example of the master craftsmanship seen in Coro Duette pieces. Expertly constructed in a rhodium plated base metal with deep garnet red marquise cut rhinestones depicting the petals of the flowers which are further accented by small and tiny clear rhinestones. Leaves and stems feature green and brown enamel
This is a hard to find piece, doesn't come around very often, especially in the red color
Good vintage condition.
Some enamel loss is noted on both leaf and branch stem areas and some of the tiny rhinestones show loss of brilliance. If you shop my listings you may be aware that I restore enamel on some pieces. This duette is completely original, no work has been done to it. Even with the enamel loss I found it to be a beauty and left it as it was. The red stones are excellent as is the rhodium plated finish.
Stamped Coro Duette in script along with the Pat. No. 1798867 which dates to 1930. Also marked Coro on the back of one of the leaves.
Big. substantial piece measuring 3~3/4" x almost 2" at the center.
It is pictured in the book "Fun Jewelry" on page 52. It was made in all clear stones as well in red. Book shows both examples. I added a photo with this pin next to the book photo. Altogether this is a terrific piece to add to your Duette collection if you don't have it
