Gorgeous Vintage Rhinestone Peacock Brooch

1940's Era

This brooch was made in an many variations, mainly in rhinestone tail feathers which came in various colors. The body is always the same with enamel on the inside of the wings and amazing 3 dimensional form. Beautiful silver rhodium plated metal gives a hard bright finish for maximum durability. These brooches are becoming hard to find and are featured in the book "Costume Jewelry Figurals" by Kathy Flood.  I added photos of those birds, one with this one right in the center. Stunning in color and size, this particular piece features 2 toned golden yellow marquise stones which are spectacular!

Excellent vintage condition measuring  2~1/4" x  2~ 1/4"

Excellent rhodium plating shows no wear and the clear rhinestones making up the body of the bird are clear and sparkly.

Pin back functions properly

The foil back marquise stones are especially fabulous in the 2 tone shade. Quite difficult to capture the color but each stone is lighter in the center and shows a slightly darker orange red shade at each point.

Simply a gorgeous peacock brooch which should have been signed.
