Victorian era, 14k fine gold brooch. Beautiful and rare, especially with this malachite stone. The Malachite stone is beautifully set, all hand done, fantastic workmanship. The gold has an etched design throughout. Has the older, more narrow, C clasp closure.

The stone on the back has a shallow chip where the artist worked the gold around. (see close up photo)
The front of the stone has very fine scratches which are barely visible when turning it into the light, a bit more so under magnification. But this is not visible when looking at it normally. The color is such a rich deep green, it's mesmerizing.
A rare and desirable piece to add to any fine antique jewelry collection.
