I come from a European background, my parents being from Russia. My father was an engineer as well as a master watchmaker and jeweler when he came to America. He had a love for for quality items and he was so talented at what he did that people from all over the country would send him their clocks and watches to restore, especially rare items which had to have parts made by hand. Early on I studied china painting eventually becoming a professional artist in that field, with watercolor following soon after. But vintage jewelry became a passion of mine! So addicting is the endless treasure hunt for wonderful vintage pieces with the exciting variety of materials that were used to create them. So many delightful, fun, even zany pieces, as well as the breathtakingly beautiful ones. One can never lose interest as a collector in such a diverse field. I buy what I love then adopt them out to good homes, lol!
